Behind every story published in The Emissary is a team of passionate student-journalists, visual artists, and literary enthusiasts from Talisay City College–Aristocrats (TCC-A). United by their shared commitment to truth, creativity, and student empowerment, this publication works under the Department of English Studies and Other Languages, headed by Ms. Rachel Jane Casquejo.
The Emissary was established through Resolution No. 2, Series of 2023–2024, titled “A Resolution to Promulgate Establishment of the Publication Team of Talisay City College–Aristocrats (TCC-A)”. The resolution was authored by Hon. Christian Obradas, who served as the governor of TCC-A at that time, and was carried out under the supervision of Mr. Michael Atchaso, one of the organization’s committed advisers. It was officially approved by the Student Affairs and Services Office of Talisay City College on September 6, 2023, signifying a milestone for the Aristocrats’ pursuit of literary and journalistic excellence.
Initially, The Emissary began as a publication composed solely of TCC-Aristocrats students. However, its vision to expand collaboration and inclusivity gave birth to a stronger alliance—now joined by TCC-APEX, under the guidance and provision of Mr. Mark Jay Reyes. This partnership has united student talents from both organizations, bringing together diverse perspectives, creative voices, and innovative ideas that elevate the publication’s quality and reach.
Since its founding, The Emissary has served as the official publication of TCC-A, providing a platform for expression, advocacy, and intellectual growth. Its members strive to produce works that not only inform and inspire but also uphold the Aristocrats’ core values of integrity, excellence, and service to the student body.
Moreover, the team draws continuous encouragement and inspiration from Dr. Helmer B. Montejo, whose steadfast support and motivating leadership have played a vital role in sustaining and empowering the publication. His belief in the students’ abilities drives The Emissary to keep going—conquering new challenges, expanding its reach, and upholding the spirit of campus journalism with pride and determination.
With every issue they publish and every story they tell, The Emissary remains committed to its mission—for the students, by the students—standing as a symbol of creativity, collaboration, and courage within the organization.
